Manager Material Handling

We're currently looking for a Manager - Material Handling to join our team in Canton, MS. This position is responsible for Planning, Scheduling, Communicating and Implementation of Material Handling projects in relation to new model complexity kit and part sequencing, iFA NVA and TdC reductions, complexity/engineering change impact, and floor space or offsite setup. Support the shop floor supervision with process changes, design and training.  This position contributes to ensuring growth through new model introduction, removing NVA waste, and improving TdC for sustainability. Job functions Include but are not limited to: Manage the Material Handling Kaizen team to ensure all Material Handling equipment is properly introduced and maintained throughout the life cycle of the Canton models. Works directly with all levels of management within the Material Handling department to develop planning strategies for all projects requiring internal logistics flow changes, space rightsizing, manpower/cost reductions and equipment installation for kit and pick area processes. Analyze space requirements and create CAD or Excel layouts to scale within the plant or offsite warehouse operations. Interactions with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, PQE, purchasing, material handling and Yates support groups are required to gather needed data for project details. Develop all project cost and savings data analysis for project approval. Requirements would be obtaining quotes for equipment, materials, and estimated labor. (e.g. Yates electrical, fabrication, systems engineering, suppliers, maintenance, etc.) Present project details to upper management for approval and funding.  Create detailed plan of work schedule and implementation timing for all support functions. Submit work orders and/or shopping baskets for project work or materials. Hold update meetings to review project progression, schedule training where applicable and review any related issues. Benchmarking to determine best practices or horizontal deploy to other Nissan plants and participate in go-n-see presentations is required.   Minimum Requirements: Job Knowledge and Skill: Excellent communication and motivational skills. Knowledge of ISO14000, and ISO9000. Experience: Seven years of related experience at a professional level. Supervisory Experience: Two or more years as a supervisor or in a leader role, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors with somewhat differentiated roles. Subordinate positions carried several different titles. Functions, though similar in objective, were distinct. Education: A related degree from a four-year college. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
