Manager Production

We're currently looking for a Manager - Production to join our team in Canton, MS. This role will be responsible for supervising and providing leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development. Interviewing and selecting unit employees, plans and evaluates employee performance, recommends merit increases, transfers and promotions, counsels and disciplines employees as necessary, recommends termination when appropriate, and monitors time and attendance of subordinates. Job functions Include but are not limited to: Identifies and works to resolve production related issues; work with various members of senior leadership team to resolve personnel issues. Decides disposition of non-conforming product.  Establishes and monitors quality performance to cost budgets. Implements proper measures to continually reduce costs. Assists the production and engineering departments with investigations and resolutions of chronic or severe in-plant quality problems. Prepares manpower reports on weekly status. Works with the industrial engineering department to develop manpower levels and to adjust accordingly for rebalances and attrition. Monitors safety performance daily and facilitates implementation of action to improve safety performance. Proactive in identifying and addressing safety concerns before an accident occurs. Plans for new projects and processes based upon information from engineering and management that affects assigned area of responsibility. Contacts other workgroups within the company to obtain their services and support for determining content and timing of these new processes. Participates in early engineering and production trials to determine production issues and to assure ease of manufacturability. Administers shop floor management systems to insure compliance and increase customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Seven years of related experience at a professional level. Supervisory Experience: Five years in a full supervisory role, providing leadership, coaching, guidance and training and contributing to staff development. Education: A related degree from a four-year college. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
